Emma Dong

Hi, my name is Emma, and I’m the programs and events director for Hope Harbour Youth! It’s no secret that homelessness is slowly on the rise in Canada, with the homeless population subjected to issues including a lack of affordable housing, insufficient support, and unfulfilled health needs. However, only recently did I discover first-hand how homelessness was affecting youth in my own community. Hence, I joined Hope Harbour Youth in hopes of raising awareness, and to perform more tangible actions to support those affected by this widespread issue.

Now, a fun fact about me is that I enjoy gardening, but it’s made me terrified of bugs, especially wasps! Whenever I have any spare time, I like to read, bake, go on road trips, and play different sports.
